Religious Education at OLST

The religious programme, ‘Come and See’ is the core RE scheme at Our Lady & Saint Thomas Catholic Primary School. Links are made with the children’s own experiences and the curriculum is adapted to make it real and meaningful to our children.
In order that children can learn to act for the common good, we see it as a vital part of Religious Education that our children are introduced to, and develop a deepening understanding of, those who have different belief systems to their own or none. In order to appreciate, one must understand. We currently study Judaism and Islam alongside our own Catholic Teaching and draw comparisons, exploring similarities and differences between major world religions.
